Last week I spent three days in Toronto with my Mastermind Group of coaches. The 11 of us are
alumni of Chris Barrow’s Coaching Business School. Although Chris is no longer running the Coaching Business School, we have retained him to facilitate two intensive retreats for us this year.
This group is one of the best things I ever did for my business. What a difference it makes to get in a room of your peers (some more successful than you, some less) and talk about what’s going well, and what’s not going well. Having the group brainstorm with you and point out what you can’t see in your own business is absolutely priceless. And when you're with a group of coaches, you can't get away with any excuses!
The theme that emerged from this intensive was “raise your game.” Don’t settle for where you are, in business and in life. Increase your expectations, lower your tolerences. Raise your game.
I think I’ve done just that.
In January I will be launching a new coaching business model that I am unbelievably excited about. It feels as it something has “clicked.” I’ll be spending the next six months developing the model and working on the transition, in addition to my current coaching work.
When it’s all said and done, January is going to be the re-launch of a fantastic coaching business that meets and exceeds the needs and wants of my clients, and is everything I ever wanted for my business.
How can you raise your game?
